Owen had a quick MRI today and had his stitches removed. Dr. Duncan (the neurosurgeon) confirmed that the swelling has gone down in the ventricles, which we assumed since he looks so much better! Now we just need to wait until the next MRI, which is in the process of being scheduled (in about two weeks).
Owen was up most of the night last night... and was very upset. He went to the pediatrician today... he has another ear infection (this makes two in less than one month). Hopefully the medicine will work quickly and he'll start sleeping a bit better because we're exhausted. We are heading to bed now.
Thank you again for your prayers. We continue to pray that the next MRI has positive results and that the tumor does not grow and we thank the Lord for our strength and Owen's ability to heal so quickly from the surgery. Love, Jennifer, Eric, and Owie-o

ReplyDeleteI am so happy to hear the great news! I too will continue to pray that the tumor srhinks and now that his ear infections are healed...like the poor guy hasn't been through enough! Your faith in God through this whole situation has been such an inspiration to me. Owie is so lucky to have you as his Mommy!
